Meet the team
Mrs Lakshmi Kanneganti
BDS, MFDS RCS Edin Principal Dentist GDC No- 206516
Lakshmi joined Martock Dental Practice in 2016 as an associate Dentist before becoming the Principal Dentist in 2019.
Lakshmi qualified from India in 2007 before moving to the UK. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, particularly dealing with minimally invasive and complex restorative dentistry.Â
Apart from general dentistry, Lakshmi also offers clear aligners for tooth straightening such as Invisalign, clear correct and 32co. Lakshmi is married and lives with her husband and two young boys and enjoys baking in her spare time.
 Sarah Salisbury

Sarah joined Martock Dental Practice in 2019 as the Practice Manager. Previous to this she was a Dental Nurse and has 10 years clinical experience.
When not in the office you will find Sarah spending time with her young family.
Dr Sarah Manley

Dr Sarah Manley joined Martock Dental Practice in 2019. Sarah qualified from Cardiff in 1994. She enjoys getting to know her patients and providing them with the most appropriate treatment and takes great pride in preventing dental conditions.
She has lived in Somerset for over 20 years with her husband and two teenage children. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and reading books.
Dr Emmanouil Pagoulatos

Emmanouil (pronounced Immanuel) is originally from Greece and qualified from Charles University, Czech Republic in 2018. Emmanouil joined the team here at Martock Dental Practice in May 2021. He has recently completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Restorative Dentistry at the prestigious University College London, Eastman Dental Institute.
Emmanouil enjoys all aspects of general dentistry but has a keen eye for detail and endeavours to achieve the best possible outcome for his patients. He lives with his wife Dionysia (pronounced Denise) and young son, and enjoys cooking, watching the occasional film, and going out on long walks.
Dr Samantha Marks

Dr Samantha Marks qualified with Distinction from the University of Leeds and, prior to this, studied Pharmacology BSc at the University of Liverpool.
In addition to practising minimally invasive general dentistry, she also offers clear aligners for tooth straightening and tooth whitening. She enjoys treating children and anxious patients, and her relaxed, calming manner puts patients at ease.
Outside of dentistry, she enjoys kayaking and exploring the coast with her husband and two dachshund dogs. In her younger days, Samantha was a recipient of a piano scholarship to the prestigious Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester and has previously been a church organist for twelve years across Manchester and Yorkshire.
Dr Terri Reed

Dr Terri Reed graduated from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2021 and previously received a first-class bachelor's degree in Biology. Terri is interested in Restorative Dentistry and is keen to pursue this further, with a particular interest in Endodontics. She enjoys treating children and is a keen advocate for disease prevention, as well as providing clear aligners for straightening teeth.
Terri is a Somerset girl and loves all aspects of country life. In her spare time, she is a keen equestrian and is currently bringing on her young horse to compete at the grassroots level of Eventing.
Dr Jayne Owen
BDS, MSc
Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry

Jayne qualified in 1989 from Victoria University, Manchester and later achieved specialist status in 2000 after completing MFDS, RCS (Glas) in Paediatric Dentistry. She has since worked as a Senior Dental Officer in the north of England before moving down south, covering various Community Dental settings.
She has routinely taught and lectured at Birmingham Dental School on paediatric dentistry and dental sedation. Jayne enjoys treating emotional, physical, and medical special needs children, referred by other team members and local dental practitioners. She has had several publications in acclaimed national and international dental journals.
Jayne is now settled in Somerset with her husband and three daughters.
Dr Ryan Hughes

Dr Ryan Hughes is a dentist practising with special interests in oral surgery and implant dentistry and is exceptionally well qualified in both of these disciplines.
Ryan qualified as a dentist in 2005 and as a medical doctor in 2014. Although he no longer practises medicine, he uses the skills and experience he gained to help him tackle the more complex areas of dentistry. He achieved the prestigious Fellowship in Oral Surgery (with Oral Medicine) from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2009 and also holds separate Master’s degrees in both Dental Implantology and Oral Surgery.
He also benefits from Fellowship status at both the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the College of General Dentistry.
Jane Dixon
Dental Hygienist
GDC No. 5215
Jane has been part of the Martock Dental team since 2017 and is one of our dedicated dental hygienists. She trained in the RAF and now lives in Somerset with her husband and two grown-up children.
Jane takes particular interest in treating periodontal disease alongside our dentists. She is also our smoking cessation advisor and is always happy to offer support and guidance to those interested in quitting.
Danielle Berry (Dani)
Dental Hygiene Therapist

Dani will be joining Martock Dental in May 2025 to take over Dr Marks’ list of patients. She is a qualified Dental Therapist and has been practising in the South West since 2014.
Having graduated from Cardiff University in 2014 with First Class Honours in Dental Hygiene and Therapy BSc, Dani enjoys helping patients prevent dental diseases and, when necessary, carrying out treatment using minimally invasive techniques.
Pallavi Prasannan

Pallavi will be joining our team from early May 2025 and will be working as a Dental Therapist.
Pallavi has been working as a dental hygienist in the UK since November 2024 and is also an overseas-trained dentist. With a deep passion for oral health, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role.

Lisa joined the team in April 2020 as a qualified Dental Nurse with over 20 years experience. She is also qualified as our Lead Sedation Nurse and works closely alongside Jayne Owen and Terri Reed.

Florence joined the team in 2019 as a trainee Dental Nurse and qualified in 2021. Since then Florence has achieved her Oral Health Education certificate and enjoys delievering sessions to locals schools, nurseries and nursing homes. As well as nursing, Florence is also one of our Treatment Care Coordinators. Florence lives locally with her husband, son, and daughter.

Wendy joined the practice in April 2022. She is also qualified in dental radiography, which means she can perform x-rays under the prescription of a clinician. Wendy lives with her husband and three children.

Beth has been at Martock Dental Practice for just over 20 years (yes, we know, she doesn't look old enough!) She works as an Implant Nurse alongside Ryan, supporting patients throughout their treatment journey.
Beth lives with her partner and two daughters.
Polina Monou
Dentist
Originally from Cyprus, Polina qualified from Plovdiv Medical University, Bulgaria in 2019 and has since completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Dental Implantology.
She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, with a particular interest in advanced restorative dentistry and implantology.

Grace is a qualified Dental Nurse who qualified in May 2024 and enjoys all aspects of dentistry. In her spare time, Grace likes to spend time with her nieces, running and going to the gym. In March 2027, Grace and our Dentist, Terri, will be heading to Eastern Kenya to deliever essential dental care to those in need.

Katie joined the Martock Dental team in July 2024 and is training as a dental nurse.
Katie is nearing the end of her training and hoping to be qualified around June 2026.
